To the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St.mary Le strand in the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Middlesex
and to the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. Martin in the Fields
in the said County And to Oath
and every of them

Where as Complaint hath been made by you the Church wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St.mary
Le strand unto Us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the Liberty aforesaid,
That James Macclair an Infant Bastard Child was

lately [..] brot & left in your said Parish of St. mary Le
Strand
there to inhabit as a Parishioner contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and w there like to become charge
able, if not timely prevented: And whereas, upon due Examina
tion and Enquiry made into the Premises, upon Oath & other
Circumstances
it appears unto us, and We accordingly adjudge, That the said
James Macclair< no role > is
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of St. Mary Le Strand
and that the last legal Place
of Settlement of the said James Macclair< no role >
is in the said Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields in the sd County of Middx

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the [..] Parish of
St. Mary Le Strand aforesaid, that you,
or some of you, forthwith remove and convey the said James
Macclair

from your said Parish of St. Mary Le
to the said Parish of St. Martin
the Fields and him
to the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant, or Order, or a true
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such case made, forthwith to
receive the said James Macclair< no role >
into their said Parish and provide for him
as their own parishioner Given under our Hands and Seals, the
26 day of June in the Year of Our
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Six
