At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our sovereign Lord the King holden
for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in St. John
street in the County aforesaid by adjornment
on Friday the twelfth day of July in the [..] eighth
yeare of the reign of our sovereign Lord George
the second King of Great Britain France & Ireland
Defender of the Faith before Thomas Lane< no role > John
Martin
< no role > Alexander Garrett< no role > William Booth< no role > Esqrs . &
other their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the
King assigned to keep the peace in the County
aforesaid and alsoe to heare & determine divers
felonys trespasses & other misdeeds committed in
the same County,

Upon hearing of the appeale of the Churchwardens
and Oversers of the poor of the Parish of St. Nicholas
Olave in the City of London against an Order under
the hands & seales of Thomas Jones< no role > & Richard
Farmer
< no role > Esqrs. two of his Maties Justices of the peace
of the County of Middx (one being of the Quorum)
bearing date the sixteenth day of May last whereby
Mathew Tompson< no role > Casandra < no role > his wife and their three
children (that is to say) William Tompson< no role > aged ten
yeares Mary < no role > aged three yeares and William
Tompson
< no role > aged five months who were likely to
become chargeable to the parish of St. George in
the said County of Middx were conveyed from
the said parish of St. George to the said parish of
St. Nicholas Olave as the place of the last legal
settlement of he said Mathew Tompson< no role > and
where by Law he and his said wife & children
are to be sent, And upon hearing of what was
alledged by Councell for the churchwardens & Overseers
