At the General Session of the peace of our Sovereign
Lord the King holden for the County of Middx at Hicks
hall in Saint John street in the County aforesaid by
adjornment on Friday the eleventh day of May in
the sixth yeare of the reign of our sovereign Lord
George the second King of Great Britain France
are Ireland Defender of the Faith before William
Cowper
< no role > Nicholas Jeffreys< no role > William Dobyns< no role >
Alexander Garrett< no role > Esqrs . and other their Fellows
Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to
keep the peace in the County aforesaid and alsoe to
heare & determine divers felonys trespasses and
other misdemeanors committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
of the parish of Saint Martin in the fields in this County
exhibited their humble petition & appeale untothis
Court at this present General Sessions of the peace
holden to
the Court of the last General Quarter Sessions
of the peace holden for this County by adjornment
on Tuesday the eighth day of May instant setting forth
that by Virtue of a Pass warrant under the hands &
Seales of John Ellis< no role > & Miles Harper< no role > Esqrs. two of his
Maties Justices of the peace for the said County
(Quorum unus therein mentioned) bearing date the
sixteenth day of March last Mary < no role > the wife of
William Harley< no role > and Mary < no role > their child aged about
eleven months were removed from the Parish of
St. James within the Liberty of Westminster in the sd
County to the said parish of St. Martin in the fields
as the place of their last legal Settlement whereby
the Petrs. conceived themselves to be aggrieved And
that they therefore appealed to the said Court against
the Judgment of the said two Justices, And whereas
by an Order made by the said Court on the said
eighth day of May instant the hearing & determining
