bone in the County of Midlx Labourer : was by recognizance
(bearing date Janry the 17th: 1725 :) to appear at the
next Genrall Quarter Sessions of the peace to be
held for the County of Midlx to answer to the complaynt
of the Churchwardens and Overseers: of the poor of the
Parish of St. Anne in the Librty of Westmr: within the said
County of Midlx, being charged upon the Oath of Rachel
Martin< no role > Single:woman , for begetting on her Body, a Bastard
Chid or Children, when born, may become chargable to
the said Parish of St: Anne . Now we the Overseers: [..]
[..] of the poor of the said Parish of St: Anne Do
hereby Certifye, that the sd John Smith< no role > , hath satisfyed
and discharged the sd Parish of St: Anne, of and from
all Costs and Charges, that may hapen and acrue
hereafter, to the sd Parish of St: Anne touching such
Bastard Child or Children as aforesd. Therefore
humbly pray that the sd John Smith may be
discharged from his sd Recognizance. Witness our
hands this 13th: day of July 1726 .
