substantiall and workman like manner and to compleat and
finish the same before the thirty first day of October now next,
ensueing, (if the same can be done and performed befor that
time) or assoon after as the same can be conveniently done, And to
find provide and use good sound and sufficient oaken timber,
piles, planks and all other matrialls in and about the doeing
of the said worke, And to make and preserve a convenient passage
for Foot passengers passing and repassing over the said Bridge
dureing the continuance of the said Worke, they the said William
Butler
< no role > and John Mills< no role > being at Liberty to use such of the old
timber and materialls as shall be assigned to them by a
surveyor (to be by us appointed to survey the said Worke) as
sound good and sufficient to be used in the doeing thereof,
and the residue of the Old timber and materialls over and above
what shall be so assigned is to be allowed to the said Butler
and Mills for their owne use, And wee doe further Certify that
the said Sume of £680: is in our opinion a reasonable price for
rebuilding the aforesaid part of the said Bridge, And that
£226:13s:4d: part thereof was advanced and paid by Sr.
Daniel Dolins< no role > Knt. Chairman of this Court in pursuance of
the said Order out of Moneys by him received of the Executor
of Sr. Isaac Tillard< no role > Knt. deceased late Treasurer of Bridge
Money and other Moneys in his hands unto the said William
Butler
< no role > and John Mills< no role > at the time of their sealeing and
delivery of the said articles, And that wee have covenanted
by the said Articles that wee or the Treasurer of the Moneys
to be raised for repaire of the publique Bridges of this County
shall pay £226:13s:4d other part of the said £680: after the
aforesaid part of the said Bridge shall be wholly planked
and £226:13s:4d: residue thereof and in full of their

demands after the compleating and finishing the rebuilding
thereof in a good substantiall and workman like manner,
And after that such Justices of the peace as shall be appointed
by the Court to survey the said Worke shall have certifyed to
the Court that the aforesaid part of the said Bridge hath
been well and sufficiently rebuilt with good sound oaken
timber, planks and all other materialls in a substantiall
and workman like manner according to the intent of the
aforesaid covenant of the said Workmen, who have alsoe
each of them entered into a Bound unot us with surety for
their performance of their covenants in the said Articles,
And wee doe further Certify that it is our opinion and alsoe
severall experienced Workmen have declared that it is
their opinion that if twostarlings were erected
and placed for secureing the aforesaid part of the said
Bridge such starlings would very much condu [..]
preservation and duration thereof And that the expence
and charge of erecting the said Starlings and finding
timber and all other materialls for that purpose will
amount to the further sume of ninety pounds or thereabouts over and
above the Sume of £680: above mentioned All which
Wee humbly submitt to the Judgment of this Court,
