To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. James Westmr . in the County of Middx . and to the Churchwardens
And Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Giles in the Feilds
in the said County of Middx . and to Eacts and Every of them

Whereas it appears unto us Two of this Majesty's Justice of the Peace
for the Said County of Middx (Quorum unus) That Catherine Barber< no role >
Widow of Thomas Barber< no role > and her Two Children Vizt. Sophia< no role > aged about
Seven Years and Richard< no role > Aged about five Years are come and
Intruded into the Said Parish of St. James Westmr . Contrary to Law
and are likely to become chargeable unto the Said Parish Whereof
Complaint hath been made unto us by You the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor of the Said Parish of St. James Westminster.

And whereas it also Appeares unto us upon Examination taken
before us upon Oath and other Circumstances that the said Thomas
Barber
< no role > was last legally Settled in the said Parish of St. Giles in
the Feilds in the County aforesaid and we Cannot find that the
Said Catherine Barber< no role > and Said two Children have gained any
Other settlement Since.

Wee the said Justices do therefore Adjudge that the Said Parish
of St. Giles in the Feilds is the Parish and Place of the last Legall
Settlement of the Said Catherine Barber< no role > and her Said two Children
And that they are now likely to become Chargeable unto the
Said Parish of St. James Westminster.

These are therefore in his Majestjs name to Require and
Command you the Said Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Said Parish of St. James Westminster to Remove
And Convey the Said Catherine Barber< no role > and her said Two Children
and of and from your Said Parish into the Said Parish of St. Giles
in the Feilds and them Deliver to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poore there or to some or one of them who are
here by Required to Receive the Said Catherine Barber< no role > and her
Said two Children into their Care and Provide for them
According to Law, hereof Fail not at your Perills, Given
under our hands and Seals the Second day of November Annoy
Dom 1724.
