Dickins should attend this Court on this fourth day of March-
instant at ten of the clock in the forenoon to shew cause why
the petr. should not be discharged of his apprenticehood to the
said Valentine Dickins< no role > , Now upon heareing of what was-
alledged by the petr. & alsoe by Mr. Serjeant Agent for the sd. Valentine Dickins< no role > , [..] touching the premisses,Neither the Said
And ForasmuchValentine Dickins nor any other person on his behalfe attending
this Court to oppose the petr. from being discharged of his said
apprenticehood (save Mr. Serjeant Agent for the sd. Dickins who
shewed noe Sufficient cause against the petr. being discharged
therefrom) the
as it appeareth to this Courtthatupon thata coppy of the said peticon & Order of this-
Court was left on the third day of March instant in the-
morning of the same day with the wife of the sd. Valentine
Dickins
< no role > at her lodgeings in Stevens alley in Westminster as
appeareth to this Court upon Oath
and that another coppy-
thereof was alsoe left for the sdDickinsValentine Dickins the same morning at the house or lodgeings
of one [..] Church in Surry Street in the Strand where the-
sd. Dickinsresidedfor some time resided after he left his house
trade, with the person that keeps the sd house, And For that it
further appeareth to this Court upon Oath thatthe house
wherein the said Dickins hath left the house wherein he resided & followed his employmt. of an
undertaker & absconds and that the said house hath been hath been for Severall months shall up, and that

theabsconds &said Valentine Dickins< no role > hath for sever all months.
last past abscondedfrom his house& doth yet abscond from the
house wherein he followed his trade and that the same is shutt up and that heandhath not for severll
Months past employed the petr. in the sd busyness of an Undertaken
for funeralls, but hath for a consider able time neglected & doth neglect to instant-
him therein & to provide for him as his Apprentice, It is
Ordered by this Court that the sd [..] Thomas woodgate< no role > the petr.
be and he is hereby absolutely discharged of & from his
apprenticehood to the sd Valentine Dickins, And wee whose hands
& Seales hare here unto Sett being four of his maties . Justices of the peace for this County (Quorum Unus) present
at the sd Sessions have pronounced & declared and doe pronounce & declare that for the reasons
aforesaid wee have discharged and doe according by discharge the said Thomas Woodgate of & from his
said apprenticehood to the said Valentine Dickens, Dated under our hands & Seals the day & years
first above written,
