Whereas upon reading the humble peticon & appeale of Richard
Browne
< no role > Elisha Bently< no role > John Ham< no role > & Robert Champ< no role > late Overseers
of the poor of the parish of St. Giles without Cripplegate in this
County & of John Harris< no role > & William Rawlinson< no role > present
Overseers of the poor of the said parish and alsoe of Thomas
Gearing
< no role > William Judd< no role > James Bull< no role > & William Pattenden< no role > &
other Inhabitants of the same parish exhibited unto this
Court setting forth that the Petrs. being credibly informed that
Thomas Rand< no role > & John Fuller< no role > Esqrs . two of his Maties. Justices of
the peace for the said County (Quorum unus) inhabiting in
& neare the said parish of St: Giles without Cripplegate
and in the Division in which the said parish doth lye Did
by an order under their hands & seales dated the second day
of this instant April will & require John King< no role > late
Churchwarden of the sd. parish to make & yeild up unto
them (they being the Justices who principally if not
altogether have granted & Signed Orders directed to the sd.
John King< no role > fornecessarymoneys necessary for the releife of
the casual poor of the sd. parish & who have kept Registers
for the said Orders) a true & perfect accompt of all sumes
of money by him reced [..] or rated & assessed & not reced
and of all such stock as is in his hands or in the hands of
any of the poor to worke and of all other things concerning
his said Office according to the forme of the Statute in that
case made & provided, which said accompt he hath refused
