Whereas the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the
parish of St. Bridget als Brides in the City of London haveing
exhibited their appeale unto this Court against an Order
under the hands & Seales of Thomas Sewell< no role > & Joseph Hayne< no role >
Esqrs . two of his Maties. Justices of the peace for the County of
Middx (Quorum Unus) beareing date the sixth day of April
instant whereby William Toop< no role > an Infant aged about
eight yeares Robert Toop < no role > an Infant aged about six yeares
& Philip Toop< no role > an Infant aged about three months (sons of
Robert Toop< no role > by Angel < no role > his wife ) were removed from the
parish of St. Mary Matfellon als Whitechappell in the sd
County of Middx to the sd. parish of St. Bridgett als Brides
as the place of he last legall settlemt. of the sd Robert
Toop
< no role > the Father, It was Ordered by this Court that the
Matter of the said appeale should be heard & determined
by this Court on this present day, Now upon mocon made
unto this Court by Mr. Malet of Councell for the sd Appellants
who prayed that the hearing & determining of the sd appeale
might be adjorned untill the next Generall Sessions of the peace
to be held for this County, And upon hearing of what was
alledged by Mr. Corbett of Councell for the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish of St. Mary Whitechappell
It is by consent of the aforesaid Councell on both sides
Ordered by this Court that (on paymt. of the Sume of twenty
shillings by the sd. Appellants unto the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the sd, parish of St. Mary Whitechappell
or to some or one of them for their costs of this days attendance
the hearingon or before Saturday next) the hearing &
determining of the sd appeale be adjorned untill the
next Generall [..] Sessions of the peace to be held for the sd
County of Middx, And that the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of both the sd. parishes should attend his Maties.
