WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us, whose Hands and Seals are hereunto ser,
Two of Her Majesties Justices of the Peace
for the said County of Middlesex, and City and Liberty of
Westminster (Qour' unus) by the Church-Wardens and Over-
seers of the Poor of the said Parish of St.James Westmr
ThatDorothy Thompson< no role > Widd with her Hart Infant Children John< no role > aged
about Five Years, Thomas< no role > aged about Four Years, William< no role > aged about Two years and
Elizabeth< no role > aged about Six Weeks areintruded, and come into the
said Parish, endeavouring to settlethemselvesthere, without
giving Notice in Writing to the Church-Wardens and Over-
seers of the Poor thereof, the place oftheirlast Abode,
according to the Directions of the Statutes in such Case
made and provided; And thattheyare become Charge-
able to the said Parish, and are likely to be a farther Charge,
if not timely prevented. Now for as much as it appears
unto Us the said Justices of the Peace, by the Examination
of the saidDorothy Thompsontaken upon Oath,
and other the bert Information Wee can get that She is the [..]
of One Richard Thompson< no role > dect and that about three Yearessince
they rented a home in St Andrew Street in the said Parish of St [..]
in the Fields in the said County of Middx . where they Lived Six
Weeks and Paid at the rate of Twenty Pounds P Ann [..]
for the said house and never Since attained any other Legall Settlement
Elsewere. Therefore upon the Proof aforesaid Wee do adjudge the Last Legall
Settlemt. of the said Dorothy Tompson< no role > & her Four Informt. Children to be in
the Parish of St Gyles's in the Fields abovesaid

THESE are, in Her Majesties Name, to require You, or
any of You, on Sight hereof, to Pass, Remove and Convey
the saidDorothy Thompson< no role > & her Four Infant Childrenfrom and out of
the said Parish of St. James Westmr the next and directest
way to the said Parish ofSt Gyles in the Fieldsand deliver
themtogether with this Precept, to the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or any of them,
who are hereby required to receive and provide forthem
as the Law directs. Hereof fail nor, as you will Answer
the Contrary. Given under Our Hands and Seals this
17th.day ofAprill Anno Dom.1711
