The Deposition of Wm. Hill< no role > of this Parish of St.
Gyles's in the Fields in ye: said County Grocer
who upon Oath Saith. That the 28th of February
about the Hour of Eight, as he was Going home
through the New Buildings in Bedford Ground
in the Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden [..] mett
a Soldier , whose named (as he bath since been
Informed) is George Shilthroye< no role > . of whom he
Asked whither there was any Thorough Fars.
there to which he Answered yes, and went before
him, and this Deponent being a Stranger in the
said new Buildings Followed him, till he Led him
into a Formir Horse pond , and when he Came
down into itt, he Fastned upon his Cloaths, and
Smore Damn him he would have Satisfaction
to which the Depont. Asked what For, upon
that he Bagonett, and Riffled his Breeches
and Asked him what many he had, to which
he Replyed Use more Like a Man, and what
I have, you Shall certainly have but safer my
Life, and that after wards he gave him all this
mony he had which was Four Shillings &
Six Pence (vizt) Halfe a Crown and Two
Shillings, After that hee Felt all Round his
Breeches, and Cryed Damn him he had Rings, but
this Deport had Slird them into his Breeches
Knees and Farther Sayth that the said George
Putt him in Badily Fear of his Lifes and
Robbed him in maner as Above said
