within the County and as that of Newgate is more
imediately under the care of the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs
of London , though properly the County Goal, Yet your Comittee
presume it would not be improper that a true State and
Condition of it were known, Your Comittee having just reason
to fear more of Infection from that Goal then any other
part of the County your Committee at the samebeg
have to Inform this Court that they have received certain
information that the Goal called New Prison and the
House of Correction at Clerkenwell Green , Goals, more
imediately under the direction of this Court are in perfect
health, and are very sweet and clean and under good
regulations but that the goal for Debtors at White
Chappell is not in such good order, and therefore his
their Opinion that it be recomended to Mr. Tillard Col.
Michell Mr. Perry and Capt. Masters or any one or
more of them to View the said Goal and Report to this
Court the State and Condition of it.

All which We Submit to the Judgment
of this Court
