Almighty should vissit us with any contagious Distemper and
therefore his their Opinion the said Statute be Strictly put
in Execution against all Persons whatsoever who keep
Hogs in the manner aforesaid

That by the said Statute there are likewise severall
Penaltys inflicted upon the Inhabitants for not paveing
their Doors and sweeping up the Dirt as well as upon the
Rakers and Scavengers for not taking it away and also
for not cleaning and carrying away the filth and Soil
from the several Markets Extracts of which Law
have been lately printed and delivered to the Inhabitants
and Parish officers that they might be apprizad of the
Penaltys they incurr'd yet experience has shewed that
all those Steps have not had the good effect which
might have be expected from them.

Your Comittee are therefore of Opinion that (as the
keeping the streets and Markets paced and then are
very great preservatives against Infection) nothing
would so much contribute to excite People to their
Duty at this Time-As the Justices in their respective
Districts taking a personall View of the Streets
and Pavements and Convicting all Offenders in
the Premisses, but that the Inhabitants may
have a reasonable time for making good their
PavementsYour Comittee conceive that his
very reasonable the High Constables Petty Constables
and other proper Officers be directed to so through
their respective Divisions and give notice to the
Inhabitants of the days the Justices intend to take
such Views and that in case the Doors are not well
amended and clean by the days such Views are
to be taken That then the Justices do convict and
levy the Penaltys in the said Statute upon every
Offender

Your Comittee have in the last place taken into their
consideration the state and Condition of the Goals
