"We whose Names are hereunto Subscribed
"knowing the Good character and Integrity of Timothy
"Smith of Red Lion Street Clerkenwell take pleasure
"in Recommending him as a fit and proper
"Person to be appointed High Constable of the
"Finsbury Division being well satisfied he will
"Execute the Office with Credit to himself and to
"the entire Satisfaction of the Public

"The Magistrates present having taken the
"said Order of Referrence and also the said Petition
"into Consideration

"A Motion was made and Seconded

"Finsbury Division be Nominated as a fit Person
"to the next General Quarter Session of the peace to serve
"the office of High Constable for the said Division, for
"Three years next ensuing and upon the Question being
"put their appeared to be Three Magistrates in favor
"of the Motion.
