Resolved that the Silver Mallet presented to the Justices of the peace
for this County by his Grace the Duke of Northumberland, be careful [..]
preserved for the use of the Chairman of the Sessions of the Peace for
County, for the time being as a Hammer or Instrument for the pu [..]
of keeping Order; and that the said Mallet be delivered to the
Housekeeper accordingly

Resolved unanimously that the Thanks of the Court be given to [..]
Grace the Duke of Northumberland for the very great honour his
Grace did the Justices of the Peace for this County in laying the
first stone of their intended New Session House, and also for his
polite and obliging present of the Silver Mallet with which his
Grace performed the Ceremony

Resolved that the Clerk of the Peace do wait upon his Grace
the Duke of Northumberland with the above Vote of Thanks

By adjournment same day

The following Minutes of a Meeting of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the Counties of Surrey and Middlesex in order
to confer upon the utility and expediency of erecting a New Bridge
in lieu of the present County Bridge known by the name of
Chertsey Bridge being laid before the Court. Vizt.
