A Motion was also made that a deput [..]
of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex
be appointed to confer with his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the County of Surry at their next Session of the peace [..]
some adjournment thereof or as soon as may be convenient
upon the Utility and Expediency of Erecting a Stone Bridge
at the Joint Expence of the said Counties of Middlesex and
Surry in lieu of the present Bridge known by the name of
Chertsey Bridge which passing unanimously in the affirmative

Mainwaring

Majestys Justices of the peace for this County or any thereof
them to Conduct and manage the said Conference and what
they shall do herein to Report to his Majestys Justices of
the peace for the County of Middlesex on the County day of [..]

A Motion was made that the Thanks of
this Court be given to James Paine< no role > Esquire for the very
obliging and disinterested tender of his Services on behalf of the
County of Middlesex in the Execution of their intentions of
rebuilding Chertsey Bridge and the same being agreed to
unanimously the Chairman returned Mr. Paine the thanks of
the Court accordingly
