My Lord

An Act of Parliament having just now passed for the more
Easy and better Recruiting of his Majestys Land Forces and Marines in the
Successfull Execution of which much will depend upon the good disposition and
Activity of the Civil Magistrates I cannot therefore omit the taking this
Opportunity of desiring Your Graces leave to recommend to Your attention
and assistance the forwarding this business in which the general Good of the
County and the Kings Service are so materially concerned

I have the honour to acquaint Your Grace that the County
of Middlesex is in the district under the Command of Lieut. General
Pierson and Major Generals Sir David Lindsay< no role > and Warde who have
received from me the fullest Instructions for their taking care that
punctual and Regular attendance is given by the Officers appointed for that
purpose at the Several Meetings of the Commissioners for putting this Act in
Execution in the County of Middlesex as well as generally throughout the
district under their Command

Resolved that the Chairman be requested to write to
his Grace the Duke of Northumberland to assure his Grace that the
Justices will do every thing in their Power to forward the Service

By adjournment same day

This Court being informed that the respective members
of the Several Committees appointed by the Court be consider the several
matters referred to them were not prepared to make their Reports pursuant
to their respective Orders of reference and desiring further time for that
purpose It is Ordered that the Several Orders appointing the
said Committees and the time for their Reporting be and the same are
hereby Enlarged to the County day of the next Session
