Court the following Copy of a Rule of the Court of Kings Bench which
had been served on him Vizt.

Tuesday next after five Weeks from the feast day of Easter in the Eight
Year of King George the third

Middlesex

Upon Reading the offidavit of Benjamin Deacon< no role > Gentleman
It is Ordered that Friday next be given to John Benson< no role > Gentlem [..]
Treasurer of the County of Middlesex to shew cause why a Writ of Mank [..]
should not issue directed to him commanding him to pay to the
said Benjamin Deacon< no role > such and the like fees and satisfaction
for the several persons Fied and Convicted of felony and other
Offences at the several Sessions of the Delivery of his Majestys [..]
Goal of Newgate holden for the County of Middlesex at Justice H [..]
in the Old Bailey in the Suburbs of the City of London in the yea [..]
of our Lord 1776 and 1777 and the present Year and ordered to be
punished by being kept to hard Labour in pursuance to a
certain Act of Parliament made and passed in the Sixteenth Y [..]
of his present Majestys Reign Intitled An Act to authorize fo [..]
"a limited time the punishment by hard Labour of Offenders [..]
"for certain Crimes are or shall become liable to be Transported to
"any of his Majestys Colonies and Plantations" as before the passing
of the said Act of Parliament had been always paid by and received
of the Contractor for the Transportation of the several Persons con [..]
of Felony at the several Sessions of delivery of the said Goal of New [..]
holden for the said County of Middlesex Upon notice of this Rule [..]
be given to the said John Benson< no role > in the mean time

On the Motion of Mr. Davenport

By the Court

And the said Treasurer praying the advice of the Court

It is Ordered tha the said Rule be referred to [..]
Prison Committee and that it be an instruction to the said Comm [..]
to apply to the Court of Kings Bench if they shall think proper
