November 1776

Messrs. Wilmot Spiller and Blackmore reported that they
had sent into the Service 56 persons from the different parishes hereunder
written Vizt. from Hackney 3 Bethnal Green 10 Mile End New Town
Spittalfields 11 Shoreditch 24 Norton Folgate 7

[..] to request the D.
Northumbuland to apply
[..] Lords of the Admirally
obtain reward for
[..] persons as shall appd.
[..] able to died Landmen
[..] take enter into
[..] therein.

Moved that his Grace the Duke of Northumberland Custos
Rotulorum of this County be requested to apply to the Lords of the Admirally
to obtain a reward of Five Shillings to the Constable or other person who
shall apprehend any able be died Landman within the Bills of Mortality
upon such able bodied Landsmans being received into his Majestys
Service and that the Clerk of the peace do wait upon his grace with the
said Resolution

Moved that his Majestys Justices of the peace in each direction
do again Issue privy Search Warrants on Tuesday next the Twenty
Sixth Instant and otherwise proceed in respect to the same as
recommended in the Resolutions of the last General Meeting of his
Majestys Justices on this Business and when and as often else as
the said Justices shall think necessary

Ordered that Samuel Clay< no role > This name instance is in set 40714652. Gent Thomas Hurford< no role >
Gent and Samuel Kingston< no role > Gent High Constables within the Hundred
of Ossulston do attend his Majestys Justices here to be assembled on
Friday next the 29th. Instant at the hour of Twelve precisely

[..] ceedings of the Insts.
[..] the order of Council

Ordered that a Copy of the Resolutions this day made
together with a Copy of those passed at a General Meeting of his
Majestys Justices of the peace for this County holden at Hicks Hall
on Friday the 15 day of November Inst. be forthwith Transmitted to
his Grace the Duke of Northumberland Rustos Rotulorum of this
County

It was also Ordered that the above Resolutions be
printed and Transmitted to the Justices of the peace residing and
Acting in the several Divisions of this County and [..] this
meeting be and the same is farther adjourned to Friday next the
29th. Inst. to be holden at Hicks Hall at Twelve o Clock at Noon
precisely

By adjournment 29th Novr. 1776

The Clerk of the peace reported that he had waited on his
Grace the Duke of Northumberland pursuant to the order of the
last meeting with the Resolution of that meeting in respect to the
obtaining a reward of Five Shillings to the Constable or other person
