By adjournment same day

Whereas the Revd. Mr. Richards Chaplain to New Prison
informed the Court that the following things were wanting for the
proper Celebration of Divine Service at New Prison (Vizt.) A large
Bible and Common Prayer Book for the Chaplain; about half a
Dozen Prayer Books for the use of the Prisoners, a Surplice, a
Temporary Desk and a few Benches for the Prisoners to siton It is
Ordered that the same be and it is hereby referred to the Committee
appointed to carry into immediate Execution the repair of New
Prison and Clerkenwell Bridewell to consider what things are
proper to be procured for the purpose abovesaid and by whom out of
what fund the same shall be purchased in whose care they shall
be reposed and how often and by whom the Surplice shall be
washed

Whereas the Revd. Mr. Thomas Richards< no role > Chaplain to New
Prison Exhibited to this Court a charge against John Walbank< no role >
the Turnkey and others of the Servants of Mr. Edward Hall< no role >
Governor of the House of Correction setting forth that he had been
grossly insulted and several times ill treated by the Said John
realbank and others as aforesaid upon his going to the said House
of Correction under the Recommendation of the Court at the last
Session of the peace holden for this County to perform religious
Duties to the prisoners confined in the said House of Correction
And the said John Walbank< no role > having been called upon here to
answer the said Charge and confessing the same It is
Ordered by the Court that the said Mr. Edward Hall< no role > do
forthwith discharge the said John Walbank< no role > the his Office of
Turnkey to the said House of Correction
