At the general Quarter Session of the Peace of Our Lord
the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall
in Saint John Street in the said County (by adjournment) on
Thursday the 12 th. day of Janry in the 9th. year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of great Britain

of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in
the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
diverse Felonies Trespasses and other misdemeanors
committed in the same county.

his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex assembled at this present Session of the Peace
holden for the same County do Elect nominate and
appoint Edward Hall< no role > of the Parish of Saint James
within the Liberty of Westminster Gentleman to be Governor
and Keeper of the House of Correction as Clerkenwell in
the said County in the place and Stead of John Stoddart< no role >
deceased late Governor and Keeper of the said House of
Correction To have Hold execute and Esrjoy the said
office or Employment of Governor or Keeper of the said
House of Correction together with all Fees perquisites
allowance payments profits Commodities and Emoluments
to the said Office or Employment belonging or appertaining
during the pleasure of the Justices of the Peace for the said
County in their general Session of the Peace for the same
County assembled or to be assembled or the Major part of
them only and no Longer upon Condition that He the said
