The humble Petition of Edward Hall< no role >
Sheweth
That your petitioner having been informed that
the office of Master Governor or keeper of Clerkenwell
Bridewell
in the said County of Middlesex
is become
Vacant by the death of the late Mr. John Stoddart< no role >
and
that your Worships will proceed this present Session to the
choice of a new Master Governor or Keeper of the said
Prison, he therefore humbly offers himself to your
Workship
's as a Candidate for the said Office, and begs
wave to assure you that if he shall be so happy as to be
Elected by you he will always make it the object of his
utmost Endeavors and application to merit your Worships
favour and approbation by a diligent and faithful-
discharge of the Duties of his office, a ready obedience
