An Order of Sessions of Gaol Delivery of Newgate for this County pur-
porting to have been made the 21st. of April last, to revive an Order of the
14th. of July in the 8th. Year, of the Reign of King George the First against
receiving Indictments from Hicks Hall Etc after two o Clock on the 2d day of
the Old Bailey Sessions, being layd before this Court and due considration
bef thereupon had It is Ordered that a memorial be layd before the Rt.
Honble . the Loud Mansfield< no role > together with a Copy of the original Order and
Memorial thereon made and that Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr Chairman of the
Sessions be and he is hereby desired to wait on His Lordge wth the same

'of Middx Your Leps revival of a Rule or Order acade by the Court at the Old
'Bailey in the 8th. of King George the first and which Rule or Order we Apprelen
'Might continue in force until 1749. When the Justices of the Peace for this County
'did in their General Quarter Sessions held the eighteenth of Janry 1749. present a
'memorial to the Right Honble Sir Wm Leo< no role > Knt . then Lord Chief Justice of the Court of
'Kings Bench and the rest of the then Judges a Copy of which is annext together wth.
'a Copy of the said Rule or Order - Your memorialists have not any possitive
'Traces of the Resolutions taken by the Judges upon the sd. Memorial but if they be
'permitted to judge from the Consequentley may reasonably Conclude that ye. sd.
'Rule or Order for the reasons in the said Memorial contained was discharged as then
'Court of the Old Bailey hav' many bean reced Felony Bills until the Friday at two
'Clock at wth. time the Grand Ivary is old at Hicks Hall Your memorials having [..]
'the sd. Rule of Order into their most Serious Consideraton & having also duty examd. & con
'sidered the Reasons contained in the annexd memorial are humbly of opinion yt.
'the Obserwance of the sd rule or Order may prove detrimental to the public in the maner,
'and for the reasons mentioned in ye sd. Memorial Allwth Yor. memlits Submit to yor, Ldqs Candor
'and Judgmts.

Resolution to Address
this Maj. or birth of ye
Prince.}

A Mecon being made that humble Address be made to the King upon the birth of ye
Prince It is resolved that a congratulatory Address be prepared & presented to His Majgy.
as early as possible & that the Depy. Lients. of this County & City & Libty of Westmr. & Justices of ye.
peace of the same City & Libty be & they me hereby desired to concur in such Address Several of
whom being now present agreed so to do. And Thos Lane< no role > Esqr Chairman of the Sessions George
Cooke Esqr one of the Kints. of the Shire Chas. Gould< no role > Esqr & Sir John Fielding< no role > Knt . & such other of His
Majesty's Justices of the peace for this County here present as shall cheese to Assist, are hereby
desired to prepare & settle an Address.

Accordingly Mr. Chairman & the other Gentleman before Mentd. with drew togr. and retwrnd.
with an Address drawn up & settled by them which being read over and approved of the sd.
Gentlemen are requested by this Court to cause it to be Ingrossed and Copied and to be
layd before the Duke of Newcastle Lord Lient & Custs Rotolru of this County now at this Seat of
Claremont for His Grace's approbation of the same and then the sd. Chairman is
desired to present the same to the King at st James's tomorrow, accompanied by
four Gentleman of each Comission
