of Finsbury Divis.}

The Election and Appointment of a fit and proper Person to
serve Office of High Constable of Finsbury Division within th
Hundred of Ossulston in this County coming on this Day by
Order of Court made at the last Session whereby after reciting
that by the Standing Orders of the Court no High Constable
in this County Should continue in his Office of High Constable
above the space of Three Years It was therefore Recomended
and referred to His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this
County residing within the said Division to meet together
to Consider of a Fit and proper Person to be High Consta-
ble of the said Division in the place and Stead of Thos.
Hurford who hath served the said Office of High
Constable there for the space of three years and more
And to return the name and place of residence of Such
Person to this Court And notice of Such meeting was to
be given to all the Justices of the Peace of this County
residing within the same Division Now upon reading
the report of His Majesty's Said Justices of the Peace
acting for the Division of Finsbury aforesaid Setting
forth (in Part) the Said Recited Order of Referrence and
that they had read and duly Considered the Order of
Sessions of the fifteenth of January 1718. and are of Opinion
that the said Order is not restrictory in the recomendation
of the preceding High Constable who has demeaned
himself well in his said Office And that for as much
as the said Order was dispensed with by a Subsequent
Order of the twenty eight Day of February 1724.
when Thomas Jones< no role > was resworn into the said office
of High Constable for Holbourn Division And for, that
the said Thomas Hurford< no role > the present High Constable
of Finsbury Division has faithfully and truly executed
the said Office for several Years past and is a fit
Person thoroughly Conversant in the Duty of a High
Constable the Said Justices do recommend to this Court
the said Thomas Hurford< no role > to be resworn in High Constable
for
