Order appointing a Committee to
examine what Persons have
been committed in Execution for
two years last to the House of
Correction at Clerkenwell and
whether any and which of them
have been discharged and by
whom before the Expiration of
their time.

It is Ordered by this Court that it be and it is hereby recommended and referred unto

the Peace for the County of Middx or any three or more of them as a Committee
to meet together at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the said County on Thursday
the twentieth day of July next at nine of the Clerk in the Forenoon to examine
what Persons have during the Space of two years last past been committed in
Execution for a Month or any other time to the House of Correction at
Clerkenwell in this County and whether the said Persons so committed or any
and which of them have and by whom been discharged out of the said
Prison before the time for which they respectively were committed was
expired and the said Committee are desired to make their Report touching the
premisses to the Court of the next General Session of the Peace to be holden for
this County on the County day of the same Session.

John Street in the said County on Monday the eleventh day of September next at
nine of the Clock in the Forenoon to take into Consideration the Expence of
passing Vagrants from the fifteenth day of July One thousand seven hundred
and fifty six to the fifteenth day of July One thousand seven hundred and fifty
seven and from July One thousand seven hundred and fifty seven to July One
thousand seven hundred and fifty eight and the said Committee are desired to
report to the Court of the next General Session of the Peace to be holden for the
said County Whether any and which of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County have acted contrary to an Order made in July Sessions One thousand
seven hundred and fifty seven concerning Vagrants And it is further Ordered by
this Court that all the High Constables within this County do attend and deliver in
to the said Committee all Certificates of Vagrant Passe in their Custody or in the Custody
of the Petty Constables and Headboroughs within their respective Divisions
