By Adjournment on Thursday the twenty sixth day of May 1757 .

Order concerning the
Assize of Bread

It is Ordered by this Court that the Assize of Bread as it shall be setfrom time
from time to time by the Lord Mayor and Court of Aldermen of the City of London
be and is hereby declared and directed to be the Assize of Bread from time to time in
and for this County unless the Assize of Bread is otherwise settled by the Justices of
the Peace of this County in their several Divisions And it is hereby recommended
to the said several Justices to meet in their said Divisions and settle the said
Assize of Bread from time to time as they shall see reasonable which said Assize
of Bread so to be settled from time to time by the said Justices in their said
several Divisions is hereby declared and directed to be the Assize of Bread in
the said several Divisions in this County untill further Order of this Court
of which all Persons concerned are to take Notice.

By adjournment on Thursday the twenty sixth day of May 1757.

Order for Mr. Higgs Trearer
to pay £45. to the Inspectors of
[..] Distempered Cattle.

An Account being laid before this Court by the Inspectors appointed to endeavour to put
a stop to the Spreading of the Destemper now raging amongst the Horned Cattle in
this County of money alledged to be due to them for their Service the Total of which
Account amounts to the Sum of forty five pounds which Account is as follows

May 1757 being 24 Weeks at 10s. a Week

And it appearing unto this Court by Writing under the Hands of Thomas Jervis< no role >
and Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Esqrs . two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County that they have examined the said Account and that there is due to the said
Inspectors for their respective Allowances the said Sum of forty five pounds It is
Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do pay to
the said Inspectors respectively the respective Sums of money abovementioned
written over against their respective Names amounting to the said Sum of forty
five pounds And that the respective Receipts of the said Inspectors together with
this Order shall be a sufficient Discharges to the said Treasurer for such payment.

By adjournment on Thursday the twenty sixth day of May 1757.

Order for appointing Mr.
John Drinkwater< no role > High
Constable for the Hundred
of Elthorne in the place

Piper deceased.

Information being given unto this Court that William Piper< no role > one of the High
Constables of the Hundred of Elthorne in this County is dead This Court doth
thereupon appoint John Drinkwater< no role > of the Township of New Brentford
within the Hundred and County aforesaid to be one of the High Constables of the
said Hundred in the place and stead of the William Piper< no role > deceased And
this Court doth Order that the said John Drinkwater< no role > do forthwith (after cotine
