to the said Coroner the Sum of fifteen pounds and one Shilling It is Ordered by
this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do pay the said Sum of
fifteen pounds and One Shilling unto the said Coroner in full of his said demand
whose Receipt together will his Order shall be a sufficient Discharge to the said
Treasurer for such payment.

By adjournment on Thursday the twenty first day of April 1757 .

Order for Mr. Higgs Trearer
to pay several Workmens
Bills for Work done at
Hicks Hall

Several Workmens Bills for Work done at Hicks Hall in this County being
produced before this Court and it appearing that the same have been examined by
Francis Bedwell< no role > and Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Esqrs . two of his Majestys Justices of
the Peace for the said County and that there is due to the said Workmen respectively
as followeth

To Thomas Harper< no role > Carpenter 0.10.9
To John Steele< no role > Smith 0.12.8
To Joseph Harding< no role > Clockmaker 0.10.6
To Nathaniel Larkin< no role > Smith 1.5.4

Which several Sums of money amount in the whole to two pounds nineteenth
Shillings and three pence It is Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Trearer
of this County do pay unto the said Persons abovenamed respectively the said respective
Sums of money abovementioned written over against their respective Names and
that the Receipts of the said Persons respectively together with this Order shall be
sufficient Discharges to the said Treasurer for such payment.

By adjournment on Thursday the twenty first day of April 1757.

Order for confirming the
Report concerning the
Security given by Mr.
John Higgs< no role > Treasurer .

A Report being made unto this Court by George Errington< no role > Francis Bedwell< no role >
John Cox< no role > Stephen Clarke< no role > and George Greene< no role > Esqrs . five of his Majestys Justices of
Peace for this County being a Committee appointed to inquire into the Security given
by Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County That the Said Mr. Higgs together with
Mr. John Smart< no role > and Mr. Richard Filewood< no role > entered into a Bond dated the second
day of January One thousand seven hundred and fifty three Mr. Higgs in the
penalty of five hundred pounds and Mr. Smart and Mr. Filewood is two hundred
and fifty pounds for the answering all Sum and Sums of Money that be shall
receive on the publick Account which the said Committee are of Opinion is a
good Security This Court doth agree to the said Report and doth ratify and confirm
the same and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed accordingly

By Adjournment on Thursday the twenty first day of April 1757

summoning of Grand Jurys.

A Report being made unto this Court by George Errington< no role > Francis Bedwell John
Cox Stephen Clarke< no role > and George Greene< no role > Esqrs . five of his Majestys Justices of the
Peace for this County being a Committee appointed to inquire into a Complaint made
touching the Imposition of Bailiffs summoning Grand Jurys in taking money to
bring on improper Persons to serve and to excuse others who are qualified That
the said Committee are of Opinion that the seading Precepts to two Bailiffs every
