By adjournment on Thursday the thirteenth day of January 1757

Order for Mr. Higgs Treasurer
to pay £20.17s.5d to Mr. John Lane< no role >
as Clerk to the Justices appointed
to take Care of the Distempered
Cattle.

An Account of moneys claimed to be due to Mr. John Lane as Clerk to the
Justices of the Peace appointed to take Care of the Distempered Cattle in this County
being laid before this Court amounting to the Sum of Twenty pounds seventeen
Shillings and five pence which he prays may be paid unto him And it appearing
unto this Court that the said Account is just and right It is Ordered by this
Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do pay the said Sum of
Twently pounds Seventeen Shillings and five pence unto the said Mr. Lane
is full of his said Demand whose Receipt together with this Order shall
be a sufficient Discharge to the said Treasurer for such payment.

By adjournment on Thursday the thirteenth day of January 1757.

Information being given unto this Court by Mr. John White< no role > House keeper of the
Sessions House called Hicks Hall in St. John Street and Cryer of the Sessions of the
Peace for this County that he hath paid to Mr. Richard Williams< no role > Glazier for
Work done at Hicks Hall aforesaid the Sum of eighteen Shillings and Seven pence
halfpenny and also the Sum of One pound and two Shillings for half a Years
Assessment for the Duty upon Windows due at Michaelmas last charged upon
Hicks Hall aforesaid which said Sums amount together to the Sum of Two
pounds and Seven pence halfpenny and the said Mr. White praying that the
same may be paid unto him This Court being satisfied of the Truth of the
Premisses doth Order that Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County do pay the
said two pounds and seven pence half penny unto the Said Mr. White in fall
of his said demand whose Receipt together with this Order shall be a
sufficient discharge to the said Treasurer for such payment.

By adjournment on Thursday the thirteenth day of January 1757.

as also of the moneys by him
received for the County Rents.

It is Ordered by this Court that it be and it is hereby recommended and referred unto
George Errington< no role > Bartholomew Hammond< no role > George Greene< no role > Francis Bedwell< no role > and John Crosse< no role >
Esquires his Majesty's Justices of the Peace of this County and such other Justices of the
Peace of the said County as will please to be present or any two of them as a Committee to
meet together at Hicks Hall in St. John Street on Friday the eighteenth day of February
next at ten of the Clock in the Forenoon to respect and audite the Accounts of Mr. John
Higgs touching the moneys by him received as Treasurer of this County and of his
Disbursements out of the same and also to inspect his Accounts of what Sum and Sums
of money he hath received and of whom for the Rents of the Estate belonging to this
County and how the same or any part thereof hath been applied and disposed of And to
report a State of the said respective Accounts to the Court of the next General Session
of the Peace for the said County on the County day of the same Session.
