the said County) have by virtue of an Act of Parliament made in the eighth and ninth
years of the reign ofthehis late Majesty King William the third Intituled An Act for
paving and regulating the Haymarket in the parishes of St. Martin in the Fields
and St. James within the Liberty of Westminster nominated elected and appointed
and do nominate elect and appoint George Horrell< no role > of the Parish of St. James William
the Liberty of Westminster in the said County of Middx Sadler to be Collector of the moneys
arising by the Toll payable for the Hay and Straw brought or to be brought into
and Standing to be sold in the said Haymarket for this present year one thousand
seven hundred and fifty three and untill the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace
to be holden for the said County in the week after Easter next (if he shall so long well
behave himself in the said Office or Employment)and untill further order to the
Contrary [..] of which Toll money the said George Horrell< no role > is required to pay to
the executor or other proper representative of the said John Mist< no role > who is dead
for new paving and keeping the said Haymarket in repair the above mentioned
yearly sums of seventy four pounds and six pounds and yearly Surplus of
the said Toll by quarterly payments in manner as is above specifyed for the
remainder of the said Term of twenty five years new to Come if he the said
George Horrell< no role > shall so long continue Collector And it having been directed
by the said order made in Easter Sessions one thousand seven hundred and
thirty that the said Samuel Weaver< no role > should defray the said Expence of repairing
such part of the pavement as should at any time or times be repaired by order
of any two of the standing Committee of Justices of the peace of this County in Case
the same should not be repaired within six days after notice in Writing
delivered to or left for the Executors or Administrators of the said John Mist< no role >
to repair the same by any two of the said Committee and to deduct the same
and also should pay such other Sum and Sums of money as he should be
required by order of he General or Quarter Sessions of the Peace for this County
to disburse and pay upon account of the said Haymarket It is now ordered by this Court
that if such orders shall be made for the said George Horrell< no role > to pay such sums of
money that then he shall be also at Liberty to deduct the same out of the Surplus of the
said Toll money before he shall pay over such Surplus to the Executor or other proper
Representative of the said John Mist< no role > And this Court doth order that the said George
Horrell be< no role > from henceforth allowed for his Trouble Care and pains in and about
his Collecting the said Toll and the Execution and peformance of his said Office in
employment four shillings out of every twenty shillings by him Collected or to be
Collected for the Toll and profits aforesaid And that at the said George Horrell< no role > shall in
Easter Sessions one thousand seven hundred and fifty four and also in every
Easter Sessions yearly so long as he shall Continue Collector deliver into the Court
of Such Sessions an Account fairly written upon oath of all sum and Sums of money
by him received and of the days when for the Toll for Hay and Straw brought
into and standing to be sold in the Said Haymarket and to take receipts and
vouchers for all sum and Sums of money which he shall have paid on
account of the said Haymarket
