of the twentieth Day of March Last to require from the Overseers of
the Poor of every Parish and Place within the Limits of their Authority Accounts
of the Money Annually assessed upon the same towards the Relief of
the Poor from Easter 1747 to Easter 1750 in Order to be laid before
the said House of Commons and the Receipt of the said John Daniel< no role >
together with this order shall be a sufficient Discharge to the said
Treasurers for such Payment.

By adjornment on Thursday the twenty third Day of
May 1751

Order of sessions concerning
the Repairing of the Middx
part of Chertsea Bridge }

Whereas in Pursuance of an Order of Sessions of the Eighteenth Day
April last it hath been four Times published in the Publick News papers (to wit
twice in the daily Advertiser and twice in the London Evening Post that all
Workmen that were willing to contract for repairing that part of
Chertsea Bridge which is in the County of Middx being very much damaged
and a County Bridge might Apply to Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this
County at his House in Southampton Buildings Chancery Lane for a
Copy ofthea Particulars of thesaidReparis wanting and Necessary to be
done thereto, and leave their proposalls sealed up with him on or before
the Eighth Day of May then next, And a Committee of his Majestys
Justices of the peace were appointed to meet at Hicks Hall on Thursday
the Ninth Day of the same Month May at ten of the Clock in the forenoon
to receive the proposalls of Such Workmen as were willing to contract
for repairing the said Bridge Now upon Information given unto this Court
that the said Committee met at Hicks Hall at the Time aforesaid to receive
such proposalls and to take a Contract from any Workman or Workmen for
Repairing the Middx part of the said Bridge But that no Workman or
Workman attended the said Committee for that purpose and it being highly
Requisite that the said Bridges should be speedily Repaired It is Ordered
by this Court that Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esqrs . one of his Majestys Justices
of the peace of this County (being of the said Committee) be and he is hereby
desired to be Surveyor and Director of the Workhand Repairs to be done
to the aforesaid part of the Bridge and that he take to his Assistance
such able Workman on Workmenworkmenas he shall think
proper and to Order and direct all such Repairs to be done thereto
as be shall think persury an most Conduceing to the Preservation
