Order for appointing
Mr. Tho: Jermaine< no role > High
Constable within the
Hundred of Edmonton in
the Stead and place of Mr.
John Dutton< no role > .}

Upon the humble Petition of John Dutton< no role > High Constable
within the Hundred of Edmonton in the County of Middx
exhibited unto this Court Setting forth that the Petitioner
being appointed High Constable in February Sessions 1748 did
take his Oath for the due Execution of the Said Office, and that
he hath faithfully Served the Said Office one whole year and was
a very great injury to him, and that he hath paid all the Publick
Moneys reced by and due from him in respect of the Said Office
And the therefore humbly prayed that he may be discharged
from the Same, This Court being Satisfyed of the truth of the
the Premisses doth appoint Thomas Jermaine< no role > a person
inhabiting within the Said Hundred of Edmonton to be High
Constable within the Said Hundred in the place and Stead of the
Said John Dutton< no role > , And doth Order that the Said Thomas Jermaine< no role >
do forthwith (after Notice to him given of this Order) attend Pierce
Galliard Esqr. one of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the Said
County of Middx residing within the Said Hundred or Some other
Justice of the Peace for the Said County residing within or near
the Same Hundred and forthwith take his Oath before the Said
Pierce Galliard< no role > Esqr . or other Justice as aforesaid for his due
Execution of the Office of High Constable within the Hundred of
Edmonton aforesaid, And from and after the time of his having taken
Such Oath the Said John Dutton< no role > is to Stand absolutely discharged
from being High Constable within the Same Hundred.

By adjournment on Thursday the first day of March 1749.

Account of the Inspectors
employed to take care of
the distempered Cattle in
Middx.}

It is Ordered by this Court that it be And It is hereby recomended
unto his Majestys Justices of the Peace of this County herein after

Clitherow Henry Fielding< no role > Pierce Galliard< no role > Stephen Beckingham< no role >

John Lawton< no role > & Walter Berry< no role > Esqrs . and Such other Justices of the
Peace of this County as Shall think fit to be present or any three or
more of them as a Committee to meet together at Hicks Hall on
Thursday the twenty Sixth Day of April next at ten of the
Clock in the forenoon to inspect the Account of Moneys claymed to
be due to the Inspectors employed to take care of the distempered Cattle
in this County and to State what is due or ought to be paid to them many
of them upon the Said Account, and to make their Report to the Court
on the County day of the next General Quarter Sessions of the Peace for
the Said County.
