Order for the Suppressing
dangerous practice of
throwing and bowling
Iron Balls along or near
[..] Comon Highways and
Foot Paths< no role > in the Tourer
Division.}

Complaint being made unto this Court that Several
disorderly Persons do frequently and Sometimes assembled
together in a riotous Manner in the Highways and Common
Foot paths in the Tourer Division in the County of Middx
throw and bowl Iron Balls along or near the Said Highways
and Foot paths with So great force that his Majestys
Subjects passing and repassing along the Same upon their
lawfull Occasions are in great danger of losing their
Lives or being maimed thereby, For the Suppressing and
preventing of which disorderly & dangerous practice for the
future It is thought fit and Ordered by this Court that it be
AndIt is hereby recommended and referred unto his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the Said County of Middx residing
within the Tourer Division aforesaid or any two or more of them
by Warrant or Order to be granted under their hands & Seals
as often as they Shall think needfull to order and require the
High Constable of the Said Division to Sumon and take to his
Assistance from time to time the Several Petty Constables and
Headboroughs within the Said Division (whom this Court doth
require to aid and assist him herein) or So many of them as he
Shall think Sufficient for this purpose, and that the High Constable
together with Such Petty Constables & Headboroughs whom he
Shall So take to his assistance do use his and their best endeavour
to Suppress and prevent Such dangerous and disorderly practice
of throwing and bowling Such Iron Balls as aforesaid, and also
that he and they do apprehend and carry all Such persons
whom they Shall find committing any riots & breaches of the
Peace within the Said Division before one or more of his
Majestys Justices of the Said County to the end they may be
dealt with according to Law.
