Order for Mr. Higgs the
Trearer to pay £3. to Mr.
Charles Marquand< no role >
Carpenter on account of
Repairs done to
Brentford Bridge .}

A Bill being laid before this Court of Moneys alledged to be
due to Mr. Charles Marquand Carpenter for Materials by him
provided and Work by him done in and about doing Some
Repairs to Brentford Bridge in this County in the years 1744
and 1745 amounting to £3.7s.10d. and upwards, This Court
upon hearing of James Clitherow< no role > Esqr . one of his Majesty< no role > 's
Justices of the Peace of this County residing in or near the
Town of New Brentford in the said County touching the
Premisses, Doth Order that the Sum of three Pounds
be paid unto the Said Charles Marquand in full of his said
Bill by Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of this County, And that
the Receipt of the Said Charles Marquand together with
this Order Shall be a Sufficient Discharge to the Said
Treasurer for Such payment.

By adjornment on Thursday the 21st. April
1748.

Whereas Sarah Whittenberry< no role > was by an Order made in
June Sessions 1747 appointed Matron of the House of Correction
at Clerkenwell in this County, and it was thereby Ordered that
She Should be allowed a Salary of ten Pounds a year for her
trouble and pains in performing her Busyness as Matron
to be paid to her by Mr. Thomas Cavenagh< no role > Keeper of New
Prison at Clerkenwell by quarterly payments (to wit) at
Michaelmas Christmas< no role > Lady day and Midsummer, And
Whereas the Said Sarah Whittenberry< no role > dyed after Christmas
1747 and before Lady day 1748 and in Case She had lived
to Lady day 1748 there would have been payable to her for
one quarter of a years Salary on that day the Sum of fifty
Shillings, which Sum this Court is of opinion Shall be divided
between Mrs. Anne Style the present Matron of the Said House
of Correction and John Whittenberry< no role > husband of the said Sarah
Whittenberry in equal proportions, And this Court doth thereupon
