the sum of seventeen Pounds received from the Lord
mayor and Recorder of London the sum of thirty one
Pounds and ten Shillings (that is to say) the said Robert
montgomery the sum of five Pounds and ten shillings, and
the said William Body< no role > & John Whittenbury< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. the Sum of twenty
Six Pounds, And that the said Justices the Referrees know
and believe they did exert themselves to the utmost of their
power to apprehend all the Gangs in Field Lane and
Black Boy Alley , And that they referr the same to the
Court for further Consideration Now upon Consideration
had of the said Report and of the Matters above
Specifyed by his Majestys Justices of the Peace assembled
at the present sessions on the Said twenty Seventh day of
February 1745, And upon hearing of what was alledged
on behalf of the said William Body< no role > and John Whittenbury< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. ,
They the Said Justices so humbly accure leave to
Represent unto your Lordships that they are of Opinions
that it is very reasonable that the sum of fifth pounds
should be allowed and paid to the said William Body< no role > and
John Whittenbury< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. as a compensation for their trouble and
Expence and a Reward and Gratuity for their apprehending
and suppressing of Street Roberts which they humbly hope
your Lordships will please to Order to be paid to them
accordingly, and Submitt the Same to your Lordships
Determination.
