By adjornment on Thursday the fifthDay
of December 1745 .

Order for Several
Repairs to be done
to Hicks Hall.}

A Report being made Ore tenns, by a Committee
of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace of this County (to whom
It was referred by an Order of Court made at the last Session
to See what Repairs were wanting and necessary to be
done to the Sessions House called Hicks Hall in St. John
Street in the Said County and to take an able Workman
to their Assistance) That they had viewed the said Want
of Repairs there and taken Mr. Richard Jupp< no role > Carpenter
to their Assistance who was present with them at the Said
view and task an Account and made an Estimate of the
Said Repairs wanting to be done to Hicks Hall which is
as followeth,

To Put 4 Oak Cills to 4 of the Windows in the Great
Room one pair of Stairs, Scantling 8 ins. by 5 ins. to mend all the
Sashes of the Same Windows and to put Beeds Lines and
Pulleys where wanting.

To put Beeds and Lines and mend the Sashes and Cills of
the two Windows in the Room over the Grand Jury Room,
to make good the Tyleing and the Gutter of the Roof over
the Passage to prevent the Rain from falling into the
Passage.

To put new Pulleys, to one of the Sash Frames in the
Kitchen and new hang the Sashes, a New Shutter to one
of the Windows in the Jury Room, and New Hinges to the
four Shutters of the Same Room.

To put a new Rail of Oak into two Posts, Scantling
6 by 5. to keep off the Carriages from the Windows of the Jury
Room.

The above mentioned Works may be done in a
Workman like manner for five Pounds fifteen shillings.

This Court upon produceing the said Estimate of
Repairs wanting Doth Order and Direct that the said
Repairs be well and Sufficiently done and performed in a
