pier called the Barge pier wants Planking, the breast of the said
Bridge to be repaired with the old Stuff, The Sills & Joystes of the
said Bridge to be amended and repaired, and the Bridge to be Gravelld
The Truss of the Great pier to be amended and repaired and the Rails
to be made Good where wanting. And that several Trussell heads
are wanting to the said Bridge, The Roles of piles to be braced
where they shall be Judged to be necessary. And that the said
Comittee are of opinion that the other part of the said Bridge
that is repaired by the County of Surry is likewise very bad and
ought to be repaired at the same time with Middx Side to prevent
the Kings Subjects being two several times Stopped front passing
over the same This Court upon reading the said report doth add
and appoint William Morice< no role > Esqr . one of his Majestys Justices of
the peace for the County of Middx and such other Justices of the
peace of the same County as shall think fitt to be present to
be of the Comittee aforesaid, And in regard it may be requisite
& necessary that such part of the said Bridge as is in the County
of Surry and also the aforesaid part of the said Bridge which
is in the County of Middx should be repaired at one and the same
time This Court is of opinion that in order thereunto It will
be proper that there should be a Meeting for that purpose between
a Comittee of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the County
of Surry to be in such behalf appointed and the aforesd. Comittee
of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Middx or
any three of them to consult together about the repairing the
said Bridge at one and the same time, and the manner of doing
the same, And to the intent that there may be such Meeting
touching the said matter This Court doth desire that Edward
Barker Esqr. late Chairman of this Court and also one of his
Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Surry will be
pleased to use his Endeavour that a Committee of Justices
of the peace of that County may be appointed to meet the
Said Comittee of Justices of the peace for the County of Middx
touching the matter aforesaid, And that the Clerk of the peace
of the County of Surry (after such Committee of Justices of that
County shall be appointed) may cause Notice to be given thereof
and of their Names to the Chairman of this Court or to the
Clerk of the peace for Middx or his Deputy in order that a time
and place may be appointed for the said two Comittees to meet
together concerning the matter aforesaid.
