Order for Adjorning the
election of Chairman of
the Court until the next
Sessions}

It is Ordered by this Court that the Election of a Chairman of
the General Quarter and General Sessions of the peace for
the County of Middx be and the Same is hereby adjourned
until the next General Quarter Sessions of the peace to
be holden for the Said County.

Wm. Butler< no role > for damage
wch. he may Sustain by
the building of Brentford
Bridge Etc}

Whereas by an Order made at the General Quarter Sessions
of the peace holden for the County of Middx by Adjornment on
Thursday the Second day of July in the fifteenth year ofthehis
present Majesty's reign (amongst other matters therein
mentioned) It was recomended & referred unto Sr. Joseph
Ayloff Houlding
< no role > Bart . James Clitherow< no role > & Richard Bulstrode< no role >
Esquires three of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the Said
County or any one or more of them to acquaint Mr. Robert
Kidwell & Mr. William Butler< no role > in case they or either of them
Should alledge that their respective grounds near Brentford
Bridge were dampnifyed by the workmen employed in
rebuilding the Said Bridge that the Court of Sessions of the
peace for this County had Resolved that Satisfaction Should be
made to them respectively for Such damage And whereas
It appeareth upon Information given unto this Court by the
Said Mr. Clitherow that at a Meeting of the Said Sr. Joseph
Ayloff Houlding Mr. Clitherow & Mr. Bulstrode with the Said
William Butler< no role > at Brentford on the eighteenth day of the
Same Month of July to Settle the recompence to be made
him for Such damage as he might Sustain from the building
Brentford Bridge , the Said William Butler< no role > proposed &
agreed to permitt the workmen to take down So much of the
Foundation front of his three houses adjoyning to the
Bridge as they Should Judge necessary, and to carry up the
Foundation of the Abutment of the Bridge fourteen
inches within his foundation Front in Order to make the
parapet of the Bridge range with the front of his houses
On condition that his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the
County of Middx would at the County expence for the
Security of the Bridge and Support of his ground carry on
