of the peace for this County or any three of them as a
Committee to give Orders and direcions for the
making and providing Such blocks and beetles as they
Shall adjudge necessary be employ and keep at work
the Prisoners comitted or to be comitted and Sent to the
Said House of Correction to be kept to hard labour, Or to
repair Such of the old blocks & beetles as may be again
made use off, and Such prices as the Said Committee
Shall think reasonable to be paid for the making or
repairing the blocks & beetles aforesaid, And It is
further Ordered by this Court that Mr. John Higgs< no role >
Treasurer of this County do pay any Sum or Sums of
money to be paid for the making or repairing the
Said blocks & beetles to such person or persons as the
Said Committee or any three of them Shall by any
writing or writings by them Signed under their hands
direct & appoint, And that the receipts of Such person
or persons together with Such writing or writings and
this Order Shall be Sufficient discharge or discharges to
the Said Treasurer for Such payment or payments.

Whereas Sr. Edward Hill< no role > Knt. Nicholas Jeffreys< no role > Simon
Michell Anthony Wroth< no role > John Poulson< no role > & George Terry< no role >
Esquires being a Quorum of the Committee of Justices of
the peace for [..] this County, to whom It was referred
by an Order made at the last Quarter Sessions to meet
together to peruse & inspect Such bills or accounts as
Should be brought in & laid before them by any
person or persons who had any demands uponthe
this County for moneys due to them, And to consider if
the Sums of money therein charged are reasonable
and Such as ought to be allowed & paid Have by their
Report in writing under their hands now delivered
into this Court certifyed unto this Court That they
met together at Hicks hall on Thursday the Sixth
