Repair of the Said house of Correction , to which Some repairs
ought to be forthwith done to Secure the Same against the
Weather, unto Such Person or persons as any three of the Said
Comittee Shall by writing under their hands Direct the
Same to be paid on Account of repairs to be done to the
Said house of Correction under the Direction of the Said
Committee or any three of them.

Resolution of the Court
that the rents & profits of
the Estate belonging to
the County of Middx are
applicable as well to the
repairs of Hicks Hall as to
the repairs of the House
of Correction at
Clerkenwell & New
Prison

} Whereas the Consideration of a Report of Thomas Lane< no role >
Nicholas Jeffreys< no role > Robert Tothill< no role > Anthony Chamberlain< no role > and
Simon Michell< no role > Esqrs . being a Quorum of his Maties Justices of
the peace for the County of Middx in this behalf appointed,
made to the Court of Sessions of the peace for the Said County
concerning the Estate belonging to the Same County, and how
the rents & profits of the Said Estate are applicable, and
concerning what Trustees are living, in whom the Said
Estate is vested, and concerning the advanceing Some money
towards the repair of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
hath been from time to time adjourned by the Court until
this present General Quarter Session of the peace holden for
the Said County, Now upon reading the Said Report and upon
consideration had of the Same This Court is of opinion, And
It is Resolved by this Court that the Rents & Profits of the Said
Estate are applicable and may be properly applyed as well
to the repairs of the Sessions house of this County called Hicks
hall in St. John Street , as to the repairs of the House of
Correction, and New Prison at Clerkenwell in the Said County,
And that the moneys due to workmen for repairs done to
Hicks hall ought to be piad out of the Same.

By Adjornmt. on Thursday the 3d. day of May 1739.


Order concerning the doing
Some further repaires to the

exceeding £12. And for the
Trearer to pay the Same

} It appearing to this Court that the Sum of three pounds
by an Order made in December Sessions last and further
Sum of five pounds by an Order made in February Sessions
last were directed to be paid for doing Such repairs as the
Committee of his Majestys Justices of the peace of this
County in that behalf appointed Should Order & direct to
