Order for returning
thanks to Edward Barker< no role >
Esqr . Chairman of the
Court for his great
Services

} His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx now
assembled at this present General Sessions of the Peace holden for
the said County Do Order that their thanks be and they are hereby
given unto Edward Barker< no role > Esquire Chairman of this Court for the
great Services by him done to the said County in his prudent
Adminstration of Justice.

By Adjornmt. on Thursday the 22d. day of Febry. 1738.

Order for electing
Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . to
be Chairman of the
Court in the Stead of
Edward Barker< no role > Esqr .

} His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx. now
assembled at this present General Sessions of the Peace holden for
the said County Do elect Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire to be Chairman of
the General Quarter and General Sessions of the Peace to be holden
for the same County between Easter one thousand seven hundred
and thirty nine and Michas then next following in the
Stead and place of Edward Barker< no role > Esqr . the present Chairman.

Order concerning the
making an allowance to
Mr. John Daniel< no role > for
acting as Cryer of the
Court in January Sessions
1738, Mr. Osborne the late
Cryer being dead and no
new Cryer appointed

} Whereas by an Order of Court made in January Sessions last
Mrs. Margaret Everson< no role > Widow was appointed to act as Housekeeper
of Hicks Hall , and Mr John Daniel< no role > to act as Cryer of the Court
during the continuance of the same Sessions, the said places of
Housekeeper and Cryer being then Vacant by the Death of Mr.
Osborne the< no role > late Housekeeper & Cryer, And It was Ordered by the
same Order that the said John Daniel< no role > should pay the Court Fees
by him then received, or to be received during the same Sessions
as Cryer of the Court unto the said Margaret Everson< no role > , Out of which
the said John Daniel< no role > was to be paid & Satisfied so much money
for his trouble & paines in acting as Cryer that Sessions as
the Court should in that behalf Order & direct And It was by the
said Order further Ordered that the Sheriff of this County or his
under Sheriff or Agent should pay the wages of the Justices of the
Peace [..] this County and of the Clerk of the Peace for that
Sessions unto the said Margaret Everson< no role > , Now upon application
made unto this Court by the said John Daniel< no role > informing this
Court that the Court Fees by him received as Cryer the last Sessions
amount to eight pounds one Shilling and eight pence, and that
the money reced by Mr Wilkinson for Cryer's Fees that Sessions
amounts to one pound nine Shillings and eight wch. two Sums
amount in the whole to nine pounds eleven Shillings & four
pence, And that the said money hath been all of it paid to the
said Margaret Everson< no role > , except the Sum of ten Shillings & eight
pence now remaining in the hands of the said John Daniel< no role > , And the
said John Daniel< no role > praying that this Court will please to Order
