Whereas by an Order made at the General Sessions of the
peace holden for the County of Middx by Adjournment on Thursday
the fourteenth day of May last It was (inter ad) recomended and
referred unto St. William Osborne< no role > Knt. Robert Dennett< no role > John
Savage Andrew Ogborne John Martin< no role > Esqrs . and others his
Maties Justices of the peace for the Said County and also for
the Tower Liberty who reside within the Tower Division in the
Same County, [..] or in the Said Liberty or any two or more of
them to Sumon before them Philip Betty< no role > Gent high Constable
of the Tower Division aforesaid and the high Constable of the
Tower Liberty aforesaid, and also the Church wardens
Overseers of the poor and Petty Constables of the Liberty of the
Tower within, the Liberty of the Tower without, the Liberty of
the Old Artillery ground and the parish of Trinity Minories
menconed in the Said Order to be within the said Tower
Division, And to inquire and examine what progress had
been made for or towards raiseing of moneys for the
conveying and releiving of Vagrants assessed by Order of
Quarter Sessions upon the Said Several parishes and places, in
manner following (vizt.)

The Liberty of the Tower within£0..2s..10d
The Liberty of the Tower without£1..1s..4d
The Liberty of the Old Artilley ground£2..13s..11d
The Parish of Trinity Minories £1..14s..0d

And to give proper direccons and See that the Said moneys Should
be forthwith raised and paid to the Said Mr.Betty, and that he
Should pay over the Same to William Cotesworth< no role > Esqr . the then
Treasurer to enable him to pay the moneys due to Constables for
their honble and expences in conveying and releiving of
Vagrants, And to report an Account of their proceedings to the
Court, And Whereas a Report was made to this Court at the Quarter
Sessions holden for this County by adjornment on Thursday the
fifteenth day of October now last by the Said St. William Ogborne< no role >
Andrew Osborne< no role > and John Martin< no role > Esqrs . that the high Constables
of the Tower Division being asked why the Sumes above
menconed (which continue unpaid ) were not paid, answered
that he never had demanded the Same beleiving the Said
Several places not to be within his Division, And that they also
find that the Several Officers in the parish and places of the
Tower without Trinity Minories and the Old Artillery ground
