Esquire Treasurer of the Maimed Soldier 's & c.
And that since the Petitioner's said Appointment
he hath been Ordered by the Court of Goal
Delivery to carry all his Prisoners for Felony
or Suspiction of Felony to Newgate Six Days
before every Sessions with the Copies of their
Committments by reason whereof the Petitioner
is from time to time deprived of his Fees which
divers of such Prisoners are of Ability to pay,
And that the Petitioner is at great Charge as
well in keeping those Prisoners which are
directed by the Order aforesaid to be Removed
to Newgate as alsoe in Conveying them thither
and transmitting Copies of their Committments
with them for which he has noe manner of
Recompence or Allowance whatsoever And
that many of the Prisoners committed to the
Petitioners Custody are very indigent and
miserable Persons, whom the Petitioner is
under a necessity of Supporting besides
for giveing them his Fees, the hike whereof is
the Case of severall Persons who are Comitted
and Ordered to be kept as Evidences against
Prisoners in Newgate , And the Petitioner
therefore humbly prayed this Court to take
the Premisses into Consideration And In
regard of the Considerable Decrease of
the Petitioners profits and income as Keeper of
the said Prison since he was thereunto appointed
