day of St. Michael the Archangel next on suing the date hereof,
And that he the said Gilpin Markwick< no role > So long as he shall
continue Keeper of the said Prison do and shall at his own
proper cops & charges repair maintain uphold & keep the Sd.
Prison and all Buildings thereunto belonging in good & Sufficient
repair & Fit for the safe custody of all such Prisoners as shall
be comitted to his charge by any of the Justices of the Peace
of the Sd. County, And that he the said Gilpin Markwick< no role > his Ers
or Admrs. do & shall well & truly pay or cause to be paid unto
the Sheriff of the Sd. County for the time being or his Order for the
Use of his new Majesty King George his Heirs & Successors
all such Sum & Sums of money as have been or shall be
imposed & sett for any fine or fines by any of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the Sd. County assembled at any of their General
or Generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace held within the Sd.
County on any Prisoner or Prisoners comitted or to be comitted
to the custody of the said Gilpin Markwick< no role > as Keeper of the
Sd. Prison for any Offence or Offences by them comitted, and
which shall or without his or their wilfull default may at
any time or times be received by him or his Servant or
Servants during such time as the Sd. Gilpin Markwick< no role > shall
continue Keeper of the said Prison, And do & shall likewise
well & truly accompt with & pay or cause to be paid unto the
Clerk of the Peace of the Sd. County for the time being or his
Deputy all Such Fees as the Sd. Gilpin Markwick< no role > or his respective
Servant or Servants shall or without his or their wilfull
default may during the time he shall continue Keeper of the
Sd. Prison receive for the use of Such Clerk of the Peace of
any Prisoner or Prisoners comitted or to be comitted to the Sd. Prison,
And that whenever the Sd. Gilpin Markwick< no role > shall be displaced
& discharged from the Sd. Office or employmt. of Keeper of the said
Prison by the major part of the Justices of the Peace of the said
County That then he the Sd. Gilpin Markwick< no role > shall forthwith
peaceably deliver up and quit the possession of the said
Prison and the Dwelling House [..] to belonging with the
Apparts together with the Prisoners comitted to his custody
as Keeper of the said Prison and then remaining
undischarged to such other Person or Persons as shall
be by the Justices of the Peace of the said County or the
Major part of them [..] ed chosen nominated & appointed
to be Keeper of the said Prison in the Stead & place of him
the Sd. Gilpin Markwick< no role > , And also that he the Sd. Gilpin
Markwick do forthwith enter into a Bond or Obligation unto
Robert Thornhill< no role > Esqr Sr Henry Fetherston< no role > Bart . and John
Milner Esqr Justices of the Peace for this County in the penall
