his Trial on the above Indictment at this present Session and
on Thursday the Eleventh day of this instant September he
went to Cheltsey in the County of Surrey to the House of the
said William Akers< no role > with an intent to have brought him to
London and have surrendered him in order to discharge his
Recognizance but found the said William Akers< no role > was fled from
his Home And this Deponent then and there had a conversation
with a Mr Foskett who is Sollicitor for the above named
Defendants concerning the said Recognizance when the said
Mr. Fookett told this Deponent that if Akers could be found
he would be in no danger in appearing and taking
his Trial for that the Two Men who made the information
before the Alderman meaning James Ivey< no role > and Robert Colliver< no role >
who made an Information before Alderman Curtis concerning
this Robberty were absent, and should not [..]
[..] appear at the Old Bailey against him And this
Deponent further saith that he has been informed that the
above named William Cook< no role > has put them out of the
way and pays them whilst they are out of Work to
prevent their appearing and giving Evidence against him
the said William Cook< no role > which information this Deponent
verily believes to be true And this Deponent John
Nelson
< no role > for himself saith that on Thursday the Eleventh of
this instant September He went with a Supoena issued
from this Honourable Court to the House of the said Robert
Colliver
< no role > of Lambeth in the County of Surrey in order to
have served the said Robert Colliver< no role > with such Subpoena
commending his attendance in this Honorable Court to give
his Testimony in the above named prosecution and there saw
the said Robert Colliver Wife who told this Deponent that her
Husband was gone into the Country, but refused to give
any account to this Deponent where he was gone to or to be
found And this Deponent carried a Subpoena in this
Cause to the House of the above named William Cook< no role > where
James Ivey< no role > lives and resides in order to have served the said
James Ivey< no role > with the same, But was told by a Servant
of the said William Cook< no role > that the said James Ivey< no role > was not
at Home neither could this Deponent after diligent enquiry
