To all and every the Constables and other
Officers of the Peace for the City of London & the
Liberties thereof, whom these may concern and to
the Porter of Bridewell Hospital London
London to wit
These are in his Majesties Name to command you and
every of you the said Constables forth with safely to convey and
deliver into the Custody of the said Porter the Body of William
Barfoot being charged before us two of his Majesties Justices
of the Peace
in and for the said City & Liberties by the Oath
of

with being a Rogue and Vagabond for
having after the passing of a certain Act of Parliament
Intituled "An Act to render more effectual the Laws now in
"being for suppressing unlawful Lotteries to wit on the Twenty
first day of February in the year of our Lord Our thousand
seven hundred and eighty eight
at No. 124 in Aldersgate
Street
in the said City taken and received of and from the
said

the Sum of Eleven peace of lawful Money
of Great Britain and in consideration thereof then and there
promising and agreeing to repay the said George Lawton the
Sum of one Guinea of like lawful Money if a certain Ticket
Number Ninety two should be drawn fortunate or unfortunate
on the Seventh day of Drawing of the present English
State Lottery contrary to the form of the Act of Parliament
in such Case made and provided and therefore we do adjudge
the said

to be a Rogue and Vagabond: Which

you the said Porter are required to
receive and him in your Custody safely to keep until the
next General Sessions of the Peace to be holden at the Guildhall
in and for the said City to be further dealt with according to
Law And for your so doing this shall be to you and each
of you a sufficient Warrant Given under our Hands and
