Poor of the Parish of Saint Alphage near Sion-
College London, and the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint Leonard in Shoreditch , in
the County of Middlesex
and to every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum,
by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint Alphage , near Sion College
London, That Thomas Barwick< no role > , together with Elizabeth< no role >
his Wife and William< no role > his Son , aged near Nine Years.
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Thomas Barwick< no role > as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Thomas Barwick< no role > , Elizabeth< no role > his said
Wife and William< no role > his Son
to be in the said Parish of Saint Leonard in Shoreditch
in the County of Middlesex
and that hitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to will and
require you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Alphage near Sion College
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Thomas
Barwick
< no role > , Elizabeth< no role > his Wife & William< no role > his Son
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Leonard Lane Shoreditch , in the County of Middlesex
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this our order, who is and are hereby required to receive and
provide for them according to Law. Given under our
Hands and Seals this 24th. Day of January One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Eighty eight .
