At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden
for the City of London (by Adjournment) at the Guildhall within
the said City on Monday the fourteenth day of January
in the Twenty Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the third King of Great Britain Etc. Before Richard
Clark Esquire one of the Alderman of the said City James Adair< no role >
one of His Majestys Serjeants at Law Recorder of the said City
William Pickett< no role > Esquire Brook Watson< no role > Esquire other of the
Aldermen of the said City and others their fellows Justices of
our said Lord the King assigned to Keep the Peace of our said
Lord the King Within the said City and also to hear and
determine divers felonies Trespasses and other misdeeds
Committed within the said City.

Whereas by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the hands and Seals of two of
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of London and liberties thereof (one being
of the Quorum) bearing date the thirtieth day of December 1786 Elizabeth< no role > the
Wife of Frederick Bark< no role > and her two Children Sarah< no role > aged about Six Years and
Rebecca< no role > aged four Years were removed and conveyed from and out of the Parish of
Saint James in Dukes place in the said City to the Parish of Christ Church London
as the place of their last legal Settlement Now upon hearing the Petition and
Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Christ Church London (which stands duly adjourned unto this day) against
the Warrant and Judgment of the said two Justices in the presence and
hearing of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Saint James in Dukes Place and having heard what could be alledged
on either side by the said Parties their Council and Witnesses in and
concerning the Premises It is Ordered that the Warrant and Judgment
of the said two Justices be quashed vacated and set aside and that the
said Appeal be allowed and the same is hereby allowed accordingly And
it is further Ordered that the said Elizabeth Bark< no role > and her two Children Namely
Sarah< no role > and Rebecca< no role > be forthwith sent back and delivered to the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of MSaint James in Dukes place to be by them
maintained and provided for until they can free themselves from the Charge
thereof by due Course of Law And that the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the said Parish of Saint James in Dukes Place do forthwith pay
or Cause to be paid unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Christ Church the Sum of Seventeen Pounds and Eleven
Shillings for and towards their Charges and Expences in and about the
relief and Maintenance of the said Elizabeth Bark< no role > and her two Children
Sarah< no role > and Rebecca< no role > since their said Removal.
