The Information of John Welsford< no role >
of Lad Lane in London Warehouseman and Joseph
Jackson
< no role > , Servant to him the said John Welsford< no role > . taken
upon Oath this second day of January 1788 before me
one of the Alderman of the said City.

First this Informant John Welsford< no role > for himself saith that on
or about the twenty third Day of December last he received a Letter
from the other Informant Joseph Jackson< no role > acquainting him that he
Suspected the Prisoner John Langford< no role > of having robbed this Informant
of several Goods in his Warehouse, and that in Consequence of such
Information [..] Informant on the twenty fourth of last Month came to
London and on Friday last Informant charged the said John Langford< no role >
with having robbed this Informant, when the said John Langford< no role > confessed
that he had stolen out of this Informant's Warehouse in Lad Lane at different
Times several Quantities of Silk Twist Buttons Ferrett and Thread which
he had concealed in the lower Warehouse previous to his taking them
away And Informant further saith that the said John Langford< no role > having
also confessed to him that he was induced to commit such Robbery by
Robert Kimber< no role > this Informant's last Servant , he this Informant, procurd
a Warrant to search the Apartments of the said Robert Kimber< no role > near
Rosamond's Row in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell and this
Informant upon such Search found in a Box in the said Robert Kimber< no role >
Apartment to the Amount of thirty seven Pounds and sixteen Shilling"
in Cash and Bank Notes And Informant further saith that the said
Robert Kimber< no role > confessed to him that he had received several Quantities of
Goods stolen by the said John Langford< no role > and which he, the said Robert
Kimber
< no role > had sold to William Annand< no role > of Shoemaker Row near Aldgate
London Piece-Broker , whereupon Informant procured a Search Warrant
and upon searching the House of the said William Annand< no role > this Informant
found four Gross of plated Buttons, three Pounds Weight of Silk of different
Colours, half a Pound Weight of Silk Twist and one Pound Weight of Thread
"And this Informant further saith that the aforesaid Silk, Twist, and Thread
so found at the House of the said William Annand< no role > and now produced, are,
as he verily believes the Property of him this Informant; And Informant
further saith that upon finding his Property in the said William Annand< no role > 's
House, he the said William Annand< no role > tore off Part of this Informant's Shop Mark
from one ParcelGrossof the Plated Buttons.

And this Informant, the said Joseph Jackson< no role > , for himself saith that on
the eleventh day of December last he found four Pounds Wright of Thread, and
a Piece of Silk Ferret containing about twenty four Yards concealed in the
lower Warehouse belonging to the said John Welsford< no role > among a Parcel of
Wrappers, and at several other days this Informant discovered several
Quantities of Buttons, Silk, Twist, and Thread concealed in the like Manner
