maketh oath that in the evening
of Thursday last Dept was speaking to John Millan< no role >
(opposite Depts. house)
and desiring he would desist from meddling or having anything to say
with his (Depts.) Daur; that the deced came up and inquired what was
the matter and dept informed him, upon which the deced immedy. struck
Millan with his fist & sayed to him Come out I will teacher you"; and
said Millan and the deced went into the middle of the Lane & after
a very few blows between them Millan struck the deced down by a blow
given to him on his Stomach, and Dept and another Man helped him
up and carried him to his Lodging & he died directly. Dept believes the
deced and said Millan had never known each other before.

Lettice Verstille the Wife
of the last Witness maketh oath that on
Thursday eve last Depts. Husband spoke to John Millan< no role >
to desire he
would not use his Daur ill, and the deced came up at same time and asked
Depts Husband what was the matter who told him, and the deced then
struck said Millan on which Millan sayed "What will stroke such Month
"as me? will you take two of us?" Deced replied "Jane" & at some time
the deced & Millan ought together & the deced fell backwards & was
unable
to get up again, but was carried from thence to his our Room and
died directly.
