Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lord the
King within the said City and also to hear and determine
divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed within
the said City
Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Andrew Holborn
in the City of London
have exhibited their Petition and
Appeal unto this Court selling Forth that by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant
under the Hands and Seals of two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the City
of London
and Liberties thereof (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the
Eleventh day of May Instant George Ruddle< no role >
and his Wife
Susanna
and their Child James aged about Fifteen Months were removed and Conveyed from
and out the Parish of Saint Bennett at Pauls Wharf in the said City to the said Parish
of Saint Andrew Holborn
as the place of their last legal Settlement and that the
Petitioners conceiving themselves aggrieved thereby humbly appealed against
the same Wherefore at the request of the said Petitioners It is Ordered has
the benefit of the said Appeal be saved unto them and that the hearing and
Determination thereof be and the same is hereby adjourned unto the next
General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden for the said City at the
Guildhall
aforesaid on Monday the Ninth day of July now next
ensuing at the Hour of eight in the Morning And that due Notice hereof
be given to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of Saint Bennett Pauls at Wharf
